The Super Bowl is a huge event in America. If you like to host parties for special occasions, then you need to start planning a Super Bowl party.
Super Bowl watch parties are a mashup of all things American: eating, drinking, and staring at a TV. If you are considering having a great Super Bowl party you need to keep reading.
Find the Great Environment
First of, you need a place to watch the game. The bigger the TV, the better. Same is true for couches. You have to have room for all of the guys. After taking care of the logistical items, food should be your nexxt concern. Pizza, wings, hamburgers, or anything that can be barbecued are your best bets. This menu will not break the bank. But these are the main course items. You will have to plan appetizers and snacks. Chips and dips are the obvious choice. Chips and dips are always favorites. They are also cheap and easy to prepare.
Purchase the Right Supplies
As soon as you have all the food planned –an ungodly amount so you’re prepared–you will need a way to serve it. Even though lots of the items maybe finger foods, you should stock up on plates, utensils and napkins. Disposable is definitely the best choice. Make sure to grab enough paper plates, plastic cutlery, and napkins for the number of guests you will have.
Don’t Forget Refreshments
So now you have TV, food, and supplies. You need one more thing for your party: beverages. This doesn’t necessarily need to be beer (depending on who you ask), it is a good idea to have a variety: water or soda for people who are driving or do not drink. But who are we kidding? You’re going to need a great deal of beer.
While you may have already cleared the fridge-space for the party, consider using a large cooler or several tubs with ice instead. During the Super Bowl, your guests will want to stay as near the TV as they can–even through the commercials. Having beverages on hand is a fantastic way to keep your visitors happy and make sure none of you miss a terrific play or a funny advertisement.
So, the checklist must read as follows: TV. Food. Beer. Supplies. Cooler. Couch. It is never a bad idea to overestimate, so grab as much as you are able or ask your friends to pitch in. It’s go time, fellas.
