What’s Tuition Assistance?

Tuition assistance is a benefit offered to those in the army. It helps pay tuition, living expenses and relocation costs. For the most part, all military personnel are eligible. However, every branch has specific qualification standards.

How Much Can Tuition Assistance Cover?

Tuition assistance can cover up to 100% of tuition and fees. You cannot exceed $250/credit hour for each semester or $166/credit hour per month. Tuition assistance also covers up to $4,500 for the financial year. The Navy enforces a 16 credit hour annual limit.

Can I Get Scholarships Also?

Yes, you can also apply for scholarships while receiving tuition assistance. These scholarships can come in the form of direct cash, tuition payments, vouchers and waivers. These scholarships can simply be $50 or complete rides.
