Nursing school will teach you what you will need to know to succeed in a career as a nurse. Here’s the procedure and some advice that will help you in getting into nursing school.

Prerequisites for Nursing School

Depending upon your program, applicants may be required to fill additional class requirements, such as:

  • Biostatistics
  • Human growth and development
  • Anatomy and physiology
  • Microbiology
  • Nutrition
  • Chemistry

Require the TEAS test

One of the basic requirements for enrolling in nursing school is taking  the Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) examination.  The TEAS exam is necessary to take to apply for nursing school. This test is a standardized exam that is given by the Assessment Technologies Institute.

Prepare for your entrance interview

After your application is submitted and reviewed and all of the needed evaluations are approved, a school might be interested in you.
